Just booked - Extra Sports 30!!

EXTRA SPORTS - 30 FROM THE WORLD MODELS MANUFACTURING CO., LTD.

Wow!!... I just booked an Extra Sports 30 from CH Hobbies this afternoon, 18/4/2008!! I Choosed the RED colour scheme for good visibility in the sky. I can't wait for it in my arms.
I am sure this sport airplane will perform wild aerobatics for the next Funfly 2008 organise by CH Hobbies! I expected it coming tomorrow. I am thinking of installing my new Super Tigre GS40 Ringed 2-stroke engine into it. I will post the building steps pics later on.

My over powered Skyscrapper made the first take-off and landing here. Why I said over power? It was a 25 size plane fixed with Megatech 46! So fast!!

My GWS Zero 400 performed well today! Hand launched by Atan. The only trim I did was down elevator for a few clicks and it levels! It flies great even the day a bit windy. I can't believed that it can penetrated the wind easily. (may be because of the thin wing surface) Control responds were good, stall rate also very low and gliding, easy to loop but rolls a bit slow and need more throws adjustment later. Inverted flight with just a little down elevator needed. The CG need to be moved forward a few mm from the original CG as mentioned in the Instruction Manual. Impressive!!

Landing gears were removed for easy belly landing on tall grass.

Ailerons must be modified. Do not follow the instruction manual on the aileron step. Some paint work touch-up need to be done at the trailing area after I removed the self-adhesive tape of the ailerons.

This airplane is not for beginner. Some methods need experienced pilot to assemble this kit especially the aileron linkages. The inner trailing edge need to be cut and glued back to install the linkage. I will post the maiden flight report soon.....

Some pics taken. The day was fine, not sunny with moderate wind speed. Very easy and predictable landings. I brought along my wife and three of my children - my supporters.... he he he.... Insya allah I'll bring my other planes and helis next time to fly @ Tanah Jambu.
