NIB Thunder Tiger GP-42 Engine

This is my new Thunder Tiger GP-42 Engine (No.9041). Designed using CAD computer technology. Major components of the engine are machined from the highest quality materials using state-of-the-art CNC manufacturing techniques, resulting in consistent high quality and reliability. Schnuerle porting, a special ABN type piston and cylinder sleeve, a new and easy to tune carburetor and a safe angular (swept back) needle valve. Designed for beginners or experienced modelers.

Recommended fuel by the manufacturer: 20% castor or castor/synthetic blend with no more than 10% nitromethane for break-in. The manufacurer also strongly discourage using fuel containing only synthetic lubricants during the initial break-in period.

Recommended prop:

During break-in = 10x5
Normal = 10x6

Glow plug

Operates best with a 'hot' R/C long-type plug, such as Redline R2, K&B or O.S. No. 8

Fabricated Cylinder Head Gasket

The gasket I made from my wife's baking tray which can stand high temperature in the oven.

Right: Damaged gasket
Left: Newly fabricated gasket and need some filings and polishing

The fabricated aluminium sheet gasket was perfectly fit in the cylinder head after filings and polishing done. Going to test the engine tomorrow. I hope it's not much effecting the engine's compression.
