TO PREVENT TAIL BELT FROM LOOSE

TO PREVENT TAIL BELT FROM LOOSE

Cut about 30cm X 80cm of lexan or polycarbonate plastic bottle.

Sand both side with sand paper. Mark the tail boom with coloured tape (ensure tensioned the tail belt first before marking). Unscrew the four hex bolts that holds the tail boom and also the tail support screws. Push in the tail boom and slide the belt from the pulley. Pull out the tail boom slowly.

(Sand both sides)

Sand the tail boom and the inside of the tail boom holder. The purpose of sanding was to add extra grip on the tail boom.

(Sanded area in red circle and wrapped around it with lexan/polycarbonate plastic)

Once done, wipe the sanded area with tissue paper , wrapped around the end of the tail boom with the lexan plastic then install back the tail boom and ensure position of tail belt was correctly twisted or else your tail rotor will spin the other direction. I hope this simple tips will help you.

Happy flying ;-)
